Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Publishing Standards and Rules

  • Research and articles submitted for publication must be original and never published before in refereed journals, conferences, seminars, Master and Doctoral theses.
  • Articles should discuss issues of general, private pr partial maqasid.
  • Articles must contribute to the intellectual discourse and remediation of issues, locally or internationally, to effect a methodological paradigm shift that keeps pace with contemporary times.
  • Highlighting the common denominator, which is the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing.
  • The priority of publication is given to single-authored articles.

General Requirements for the Format 

  1. All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the cover page of the manuscript.
  2. Articles written in the Arabic language must utilize Traditional Arabic font, size 16, and English articles in Time New Roman, font size 12. Papers should have 2.5 cm margins and double line spacing all conforming to (A4) size.
  3. Authors must provide an Abstract to their research in Arabic and English, not exceeding 250 words.
  4. Keywords should not surpass five words.
  5. Articles number of pages should be less than 25 pages and more than 6 pages.
  6. The manuscript must be entered into the journal template (ready to be downloaded)

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Copyright Transfer 

The Journal of Contemporary Maqasid Studies accepts manuscripts and research that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere on the condition that the author agrees to transfer the copyright to the Editorial Board. The research is then printed and published with an acknowledgment that it has been published in the Journal of Contemporary Maqasid Studies.
